the great PENNY experiment
During our week of Presidents & Coins, we had a mini science experiment to learn more. We used three different liquids to test which would clean our pennies to make them the shiniest. A. Coca Cola, B. Red Wine vinegar or C. Champagne vinegar. Then we added salt to create copper oxide. And then finally we scrubbed them ourselves with vinegar and salt solution. Seth found one of his pennies had a hole in it, something none of us had ever seen.
