Gingerbread House PARTY!
We had our special friend Lia over for a day of Gingerbread House making. But, we used a sneaky little trick, we painted wooden bird houses gingerbread brown instead of attempting with graham crackers. It worked perfectly! And the little elves enjoyed plastering as much frosting and candy onto those houses as they could fit.

Children's Hospital Mr & Mr's Claus
Carrying in our gift we collected.
Mr & Mrs Seth and Emma Claus with their loot!
So proud of these little people and all of the presents and activities they collected for sick kids.
We loaded every inch of their childrens hospital wagon full!
I am so proud of these two kids, they gave and gave until they had no more! Seth & Emma were so excited to deliver their gifts this year and they knew that they were very important. The childrens hospital requested that we bring them a little early this year because they had a lot of sick kids to visit. A big huge thanks to Lynn for helping us collect & deliver and giving with her whole heart!

Choo Choooo Trains
We made special Choo Choo Train Treats for our friends, completely edible! Seth's favorite part of the process was the 'drying rack' i.e. the vent/fan which we drove our trains across after being glued together. Emma's favorite part was just making things that we can eat.

dear santa...
Dear Santa,
Seth & Emma have been working hard on being good kids this year. They help collect food for the food bank, trick or treat for UNICEF coins, have good behavior at school everyday and play nicely with others. They have also been practicing their letters/words by writing letters to you.
Dear Santa,
I would like a storm trooper helmet.

B O N E S
Dr Brian would be so proud! :) We have been learning about BONES, something very exciting to Seth. And so when we found these awesome BONE stickers we had to make our very own spooky skeletons with them! The hand bone is connected to the wrist bone... Anyone remember that song? Couldn't teach the kids the whole thing, it's been too long I guess.
big kid bikes
a little late to post on this one, but better late than never! these big kids got themselves some BIG KID BIKES! and awesome helmets to keep them safe. Emma's is a pink ladybug with two antennas. Seth's is a rocker mohawk (fairly firm-could poke your eye out if you get too close) to replace his old hair mohawk he says. They have been zooming around the driveway ever since.

first camping trip
Camping ='s
dirt
sticks
glowstick hunt
dirt
sand
camp chairs
sleeping bags
more dirt
playing in the woods
setting up tents
and wait, more dirt
The kids and I had a blast on our first camping trip, with our friends Marie, Lia and Grandma (Mame) to Greenlakes State Park. We enjoyed a nice day at the beach followed by a movie, playing in the sand, exploring in the woods, a glowstick hunt and finally smores and lots of marshmallows! The kids both slept through the night, although I had to keep pulling emma out of the corning she was thrashing herself into :)
PRESCHOOL
That's right people, we are old enough for Preschool! Seth & Emma started preschool nearby this last week. It was a rough morning, but only for the grownups. The kids did amazing and we celebrated with a trip to Yogurtland afterwards!
When I grow up I want to be...
Emma- sleeping beauty. duh!
Seth- a fireman. because they don't have to do a lot of work.

On the Farm & the letter Jj
Kids, kids for sale! 50 cents a kid! wait, free kids! ;)
On our adventures about FARMS, we are learning that not all farms grow or make the same items. Today our visit was to an APPLE FARM, where we rode a tractor, picked apples and ran around like chickens with our heads cut off. No really, we did! ;)
Letter Ii & Under The Sea
One of our awesome 'under the sea' themed crafts was sand dough. We made some beautiful pieces with sand and seashells, they are still taking their sweet time to dry.

glasses for Max
Seth was treated to some glasses for Max (Maxwell), his B.A.B (Build A Bear) dog friend. Thanks Lynn, we know how important it is to wear our glasses so we can read books!

dear princess...
'My name is Seth, and I will be your knight in shining armor. But I won't be shiny, or sparkly, because that's for girls. But I can rescue you from burning buildings or from dragons and monsters, because that is what I am good at.'
Sincerely, Seth the KNIGHT
edward scissorhands
we've been practicing! still learning how to grip the scissors properly, but hand control is improving. :)
Fort Rickey Discovery Zoo
this may be the most wonderful place I've ever been with the kids! we saw alpacas, goat, deer, tortoise, wolves, and so much more! the best part for me was holding a brand new baby goat, his little baaah was the sweetest thing you have ever heard! I tried to sneak him home but they wouldn't let me ;)
