Week 2- Shapes & Colors and the Letter B !

To start off the week we went to Skaneatles to go on a 'shape hunt' and we found many shapes all around us! Seth and Emma took imaginary photos with their kid cameras, and then we took pictures of them at the park with shapes all around us.

Seth says circles are his favorite shape.

Emma says she likes triangles better.

We loved all of the diamonds on the tire swing, emma also loved swinging until she got dizzy. Seth not so much. :)

THIS WEEK'S ADVENTURES- The Letter A & Community Jobs

Wegmans Bakery (job- baker)

Wegmans was kind enough to let us tag along with a school group who was also having a tour that morning. We learned about yeast and how bread is made, we also saw the bread cutter and the giant bread oven. The best part was the taste testing of different kinds of bread to see which was the healthiest option.

Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery (job- fish feeder)

We had a lovely visit to feed the fish at the fish hatchery this week, including a few types of trout and a special surprise- baby pheasants!

Fairmount Fire Department (job- firefighter)

Seth's ultimate playland, the fire department! He was totally in his element and was so comfortable he started bossing around the firemen. Our tour guide Fireman Chris was awesome at showing us every little thing inside the fire trucks and other fire vehicles, and he even dressed up in his fire gear so we could see how not-scary it looked.
