The Letter F & Bugs and Nature

We have been keeping a close eye on our babies. Our soon to be baby butterflies that is! We have been watching the transformation that our five little caterpillars (silly 5, ladybug, butterfly-er, lila and fred) have been making. Right now they are in their chrysalis stage, we are eagerly awaiting their arrival as beautiful butterflies.

the weatherman says it's KITE WEATHER!

thanks Mr Weatherman... he announced yesterday morning that it was perfect 'kite flying weather' and so it began. Do we have kites? Yeah we have some in the garage! Tina, I know where we have some kites we can fly! Ok, let's give this a try. With the forewarning of 'these are just crappy dollar store kites and they might not work for very long or very well' we gave it a try. They were entertained for at least 20 minutes, more than $1 worth!

Seth & Emma enjoyed a hot summery day in Skaneatles with their friend Lia. She loves to hold emma's hand while walking around like a big kid.

The letter E & Planet Earth

We have talked about the planets, the stars and the Earth. We made rocket ships, made our own drawings of pretend planets, and planned our outer space adventure. Blast off!

what do you do with a lot of strawberries?

A- well you make strawberry jam and homemade strawberry fruit leather of course!

Happy Wuff day Kona dog

Our dog Kona turned 8 years old this week! 'That makes her really old in dog times," says seth. '  'I didn't know Kona had a birthday, just like me,' said emma.

We made people cupcakes and doggy pupcakes to celebrate in style!
